Job Description
  • Oversee and assist PCAs to ensure the quality of resident care meets the standards of Fellowship Home and the expectations of residents at all times. Ensure Daily Routine for the PCA is completed/implemented for each PCA each day.
  • Maintain a highly motivated, well-trained staff, and effective employee relations. Communicate effectively with all employees to ensure a positive and clear understanding of goals and direction.
  • Assist with operational effectiveness of the medication room, med carts, and personal care stations, including ensuring appropriate medications, wound care supplies, and treatment supplies are present and delivered to residents appropriately. Ensure medication room, med carts, and personal care station are clean and orderly. Also ensure there is a proper quantity of needed medications in stock and as coordinated with the pharmacy, physicians, etc.
  • Become proficient with the use of an internal system (Resident Manager), EMAR, and communication log while maintaining other such records as required to actively track incidents, illnesses, and happenings concerning the residents and staff.
  • Administer medications that are assigned during your shift and PRN medications that are indicated and/or requested by the resident.
  • Maintain understanding and awareness of the Department of Community Healths Healthcare Facility Regulation Divisions Rules and Regulations for Assisted Living Communities, interpret them appropriately, and apply them to effectively achieve and maintain operational effectiveness within your scope of responsibilities.
  • Ensure the LPN Floor Nurse and/or DRC is kept fully informed on the conditions and operations of your community and of important factors affecting any/all operations.

CMA license is required. At least 2 years of documented experience in the healthcare industry is preferred. Must have strong leadership skills. Must have compassion and a desire to serve senior adults.


Physical Requirements:

  • Body Movements: Lift (at least 35 lbs with or without assistance), bend torso, reach, turn head and torso, and/or push (at least 100 lbs with or without assistance) for up to 12 hour intervals.
  • Body Positions: Sitting, standing, squatting, kneeling
  • Body Senses: Must have adequate use of eyes and ears; adequate power of speech.


Mental Requirements:

  • Social: Must be able to relate well with others and provide a non-hostile workplace as well as receive direction from peers and supervisors with a positive attitude.
  • Reading: Must be able to read and comprehend written instructions pertaining to the care and oversight of the residents. Must be able to communicate verbally and in writing with peers and supervisors.
  • Language: Must be able to communicate in English, both verbally and in writing, well enough to give instructions, relay information, and carry on effective interchange with staff and residents.
