Certified Medical Coder Jobs

uties:

• Knowledge of coding guidelines, payor guidelines, and federal billing guidelines;
• Must possess proficient computer skills (e.g., MS Word, Excel, ICD 9 CM, CPT 4, Encoder);
• Medical coding in an acute care setting;
• Inpatient and ED experience.
• Must have CCS and be knowledgeable with 3M/HDS coding application.
• Knowledge of anatomy, physiology & disease processes; ability to research coding related issues; competence in coder training;

Skills:Three years of experience Knowledge of ICD10

Education:High School Diploma/GED,

Certification/Licenses:

• Requires current Registered Health Information Technologies (RHIT), RHIA or Certified Professional Coder designation from the American Academy of Professional Coders or a Certified Coding Specialist, P from the American Health Information Management (AHIMA)
