Healogics is hiring a Part-Time Certified Medical Assistant to serve the center at Carolina East Medical Center in New Bern, NC.


Schedule: Part-Time, Clinic hours are: Monday - Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm.

Who You Are
  • Availability to work Monday – Friday standard daytime business hours
  • Current Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) Certification in state of practice
  • An individual dedicated to creating Exceptional Patient Experiences with:
  • Graduate of a Medical Assistant program approved by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Program (CAAHEP) or by the Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES)
  • A High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED); Associate’s degree preferred
  • Passion for Wound Care, Wound Care experience preferred but not required

What You’ll Do


As a CMA, you’ll provide and coordinate the delivery of clinical and non-clinical services under the direction of the Registered Nurse (RN) or Provider. Other responsibilities may include but aren’t limited to:


  • Assist the RN or LPN/LVN during the patient’s intake/discharge process
  • Perform hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBO), training is provided
  • Assist the center’s staff with clerical services handled by Front Office Coordinators
  • Coordinate with Center leadership to maximize daily patient census

The hourly rate for this position generally ranges between $15.50 -$18.60. This range is an estimate, based on potential employee qualifications: education, experience, geography as well as operational needs and other considerations permitted by law.
