Job Description

Ultimate Staffing is seeking candidates for a Certifications Specialist role with a well-established non profit in Germantown, MD. This is a direct hire role and salary will START at $65k. This position will be hybrid. It is full-time, 9am-5pm Monday through Friday.


Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Oversee the registration process for yearly examinations twice a year. As needed, respond to questions from residents and candidates; check in registrations; confirm receipt of payments; send announcements and reminders; assist with sending results; and provide materials to Examination Committee (EC) members.
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure integrity of examination-related data in the certification management system. Ensure instructions and standard operating procedures exist and are up to date for all examination-related processes.
  • Work with certification staff to ensure consistent polices and processes across programs.
  • Travel to the annual conference continuing education meeting (approximately seven days).
  • Work with the EC director to prepare reports of committee activities and requests for the Board.
  • Support the EC to ensure the development of fair, consistent, and valid examinations. Plan EC meetings, manage online collaborative workspace, prepare materials, manage expense requests, and onboard new EC members. Participate in EC online and in person meetings, as needed. Work closely with the director and assistant directors of the EC to ensure examinations adhere to established timelines and policies.
  • Oversee the contract with the examination service to facilitate creation and administration of the examinations with the test center vendor, including attend regular meetings, keep to defined scope and budget, request and provide reports, and facilitate needs of the EC.
  • Work with the credentialing programs director, DOC, EC director, and working groups as needed to support examination-related objectives of the organization's Strategic Plan.
  • Monitor and assist with developing budgets related to all aspects of serving as examination programs administrator.
  • Undertake other responsibilities as needed to ensure effective and efficient operations.


Requirements:

  • Demonstrated understanding of budget management
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Familiarity with association or certification management systems preferred
  • Ability to build simple queries or reports
  • Excellent writing skills, including use of grammar and punctuation
  • Commitee or volunteer management experience, a plus
  • A minimum of two years employment with an association or certification organization
  • Examination administration support, a plus
