Drive Ottawa style truck on site moving box trailers and tankers. Maintain inventory of packaging produces and raw materials for production. Drive a tractor-trailer combination or a truck with a capacity of a net 26,000 pounds and a gross weight of 80,000. May be required to unload truck. Position requires commercial drivers' license.

:

  • Input “macros” into our automated system for each stage of the loading and unloading process
  • Document and log work/rest periods and miles spent driving and retain fuel/toll receipts
  • Report defects, accidents or violations
  • Spot clean tankers to be loaded for production
  • Collect and verify delivery instructions
  • Deliver to customer and then a direct return
  • Inspect vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues and perform preventative maintenance
  • Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking, break periods etc.) as well as with company policies and procedures
  • Move empty and loaded box trailers of raw materials to accommodate the needs for all departments
  • Weigh loaded tankers for all outbound deliveries
  • Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions
  • Plan routes and meet delivery schedules
  • Transport finished goods and raw materials over the road to and from manufacturing plants or retail and distribution centers

Minimum Requirements:

  • Valid Class A CDL with Tank Endorsements
  • Valid truck driving license
  • Extensive knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations
  • At least 1 year of commercial driving experience
  • Willing to submit to background/drug checks and provide employment recommendations
  • Must be willing to be gone for overnight deliveries. Possibly 3 nights per week.
  • Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions etc.)
  • At least 23 years of age
  • Hands on experience with electronic equipment and software (GPS and/or AVL units, etc.)
  • No recent moving or driving violations
  • Ability to drive long hours and travel regularly
