The Ideal Candidate Will
  • Have a working knowledge of safety processes and programs to continually improve department safety performance. Will also investigate and correct conditions which lead to accidents and incidents.
  • Communicate, collaborate, and resolve issues involving Quality, manufacturing priorities within internal departments including Manufacturing/Operations, and Scheduling.
  • Have a working knowledge of Cast House operations that will include, Direct Chill Casting, molten metal processing, dross removal & processing, alloying heats, and developing heat recipes to attain chemistry specifications.
  • Have knowledge of quality systems and processes to help drive consistent performance to standards and specifications of products produced.
What You'll Need to Have:
  • Associate or Bachelor level degree in design, engineering, technical engineering, operations, or a related field. Will consider strong related experience in lieu of degree.
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to effectively multitask.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of personal computing software (i.e., MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint).
  • Lean Six Sigma knowledge preferred.
  • 2-5 years of technical and managerial experience in a melting, casting, and finishing operation.
