Job Description

ACRS seeks a full-time, Case Manager I - Youth Development Specialist - QOLOR Builder to support the day-to-day activities of the Queer Opportunities to Lead Organize and Reflect (QOLOR) program at ACRS. This position co-facilitates the QOLOR program. QOLOR is a wellness and identity-oriented youth development program for Seattle-based LGBTQ+ youth focusing on 6th through 12th grade youth, providing support individually and in group settings. The QOLOR Builder will build from their own lived experience and community connections to create a space that centers QTBIPOC youth autonomy and learning. Building from existing structures to create something new and unique, QOLOR Builder uses innovation, creativity, and a desire to support young people as inspiration for this role.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Assists in development and implementation of youth development, prevention, early intervention programming for QTBIPOC youth. Assists in planning activities; participating in ongoing development of curriculum; and in meeting program and contract requirements, program performance objectives, goals and productivity standards. Co-facilaites programming for youth such as groups and community events, carries individual case load.
  • Coordinates with other QOLOR Builder position, Youth Development Director and other Youth Development staff, school staff and community members to identify and develop resources to facilitate recruitment and services to QTBIPOC youth, including managing social media account.
  • Assists in providing youth advocacy and case management in attaining services and assistance in areas such as individual/family counseling services, housing, medical resources, financial assistance, legal advocacy, transportation.
  • Collaborates with other programs to share LGBTQ knowledge with staff, volunteers and community. Draws from lived experience, connections to LGBTQ community and research.
  • Participates in training, supervision, consultations, and conferences. Attends school, community and service providers’ meetings.
  • Assists in preparing concise, complete, quality and accurate program reports and documentation in a timely manner.
  • Other job-related duties as assigned by management.
