Position Overview We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Home Health Aides to provide essential care and support to individuals in the comfort of their homes in the San Antonio, TX area. As a Home Health Aide, you will play a crucial role in assisting clients with activities of daily living, promoting their independence, and ensuring their overall well-being.

Responsibilities

• Respectful Communication Communicate effectively with clients, their families, and healthcare professionals, while respecting confidentiality and privacy.
• Record Keeping Maintain accurate records of client care activities and report any changes in health status to the supervising nurse or healthcare team.
• Meal Preparation Prepare nutritious meals and ensure clients' dietary preferences and restrictions are followed.
• Safety Awareness Ensure a safe environment by identifying and addressing potential hazards and following established safety protocols.
• Medication Reminders Assist clients in taking their prescribed medications as directed by healthcare professionals.
• Personal Care Assistance Provide assistance with bathing, grooming, dressing, and other personal hygiene tasks according to each client's individual needs.
• Transportation Provide transportation to medical appointments, grocery shopping, and other essential outings.
• Light Housekeeping Perform light household tasks such as cleaning, laundry, and organizing to maintain a safe and comfortable living environment.
• Mobility Support Help clients with mobility issues by providing transfers, ambulation assistance, and using mobility aids as needed.
• Companionship Engage in friendly conversation, companionship, and social interaction to promote emotional well-being.

Qualifications

• Must pass a criminal background check and drug screening.
• Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.
• Previous experience in caregiving or related roles is a plus.
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently.
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Home Health Aide (HHA) certification preferred but not mandatory.
