Car Specialist Jobs

Job Summary
The Car Specialist is someone with broad automotive knowledge to help manage our large volume of submissions with professionalism and diplomacy.
Major Responsibilities/Essential Job Duties

• Manage class check-in processes and logistics for car show owner participants.
• Attend car shows, events, and trade shows to recruit participation.
• Collaborate with other car specialists on all car class team meetings, and provide agendas, and car class tracking documents.
• Manage the outreach and communications to car clubs and show car owners for participation in all Signature Events: Woodward Dream Show, American Speed Festival, Cars and Coffee, and Cars Under the Stars Fireworks Spectacular.
• Coordinate and organize car show classes with car selection teams.
• Advise the M1 Executive team on the car submissions, quality of cars, owners, and clubs requesting participation.
• Help M1 marketing team grow awareness, engagement, and advocacy for M1, and all shows and events.
• Establish and enhance relationships with M1 Concourse, car clubs and show car owners.
• Compose content and posts that engage target car owners and clubs.
• Development and increase a growing list of target participants across North America.

Experience Profile

• Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word experience
• Experience with a variety of social platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, Twitter, Linked In, and blogs.
• Great communication skills – verbal and written.
• Three to five years of experience in car collecting, car shows, and enthusiasts’ clubs.
• Network of contacts within the car collecting world, Classics, Muscle, Hot Rod, Cruiser, Road Race, Historic Racing
• Strong ability to multitask projects on tight deadlines with a cross-functional team.

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, journalism, or related experience preferred.
