Summary
The Capital Projects and Operations Assistant works with the Sr. Associate AD and Senior Staff in cultivating relationships and connectivity with campus constituents; including students, staff, student government and alumni. This is a fixed term position, beginning August 14, 2023 and concluding June 14, 2024.
Essential Functions:
  • Coordinate the day-to-day office administrative duties.
  • Prepare meeting materials and presentations when necessary.
  • Works in conjunction with Student Life and student run organizations to continue to build student support at athletic events.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Attends meetings with staff and student-athletes and maintains notes. Creates task lists and ensure appropriate follow-up with appropriate staff.
  • Supervises and manages the student game day shuttle from campus to football and men’s and women’s basketball games.
  • Positively represent athletics in building relationships and connectivity with campus constituents- students, staff, student government, alumni, community, etc.
  • Supports the Sr. Associate AD in monitoring progress of Capital Projects.
  • Maintains open lines of communication on behalf of the Sr. Associate AD for Capital Projects and Operations with various constituents and composes correspondence when needed.
  • Assists Event and Facility Operations staff with event management of home athletic events.
  • Assists the Director of NIL Strategy with various projects related to Student-Athlete NIL.

Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree, with relevant experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbally and in writing, and the ability to
  • Knowledge of, and experience with, Wake Forest campus constituencies.
work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community.
  • Excellent digital communication skills.
  • Ability to think strategically and manage time efficiently to prioritize work.
  • Occasional evening and weekend work.
  • Must be highly proficient in Microsoft Office Suite software.
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality, including but not limited to matters involving the attorney-client privilege, HIPAA, and FERPA. A confidentiality agreement is required for this position.
  • Professional attitude and ability to multitask and adapt with positivity.
