ConocoPhillips is a leading oil and gas company, based in Bartlesville, OK, is hiring Capital Spend Data Migration Analyst (CSDMA) for contract positions. The CSDMA supports the nxtgenERP Program as we journey towards transformational change by providing a leading-edge ERP System.


Job Overview:


The nxtgenERP Data Strategy team supports the nxtgenERP Program as we journey towards transformational change by providing a leading-edge ERP System to support Foundational and Competitively necessary processes while also providing Differentiating capabilities. The team is global in nature allowing for opportunities for travel and collaboration with a vast array of talented individuals.


The Capital Spend Data Migration Analyst will be responsible for analysis of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) data in scope for the nxtgenERP program related to Capital Spending. If you are selected as the Capital Spend Data Standards Analyst, you will support project objectives to establish effective business data governance for ERP Data; Establish data standards for identified Critical Data Elements; Assess identified Critical Data Elements against current business rules and identified data standards; Determine root cause of standards violations; and Develop remediation plans. The role will provide value by reducing the effort, time and cost required to convert data into target system(s) selected by the program. Finally, this role will support the development of an ongoing monitoring and controls process to ensure consistent data quality post program execution.


Job Responsibilities:


  • Query/review data entities in existing ERP Data warehouse and SAP to determine current state
  • Assist in cross-function analysis to identify overlaps across functions or relevance of current entities in other functions
  • Support implementation of Master Data Management processes
  • Assist with general information gathering to support remediation option development
  • Support implementation of future ERP Data Warehouse
  • Provide interface between business units and Solution Integrator
  • Assist with collecting and detailing business requirements for Capital Spend ERP data
  • Track progress against existing improvement options
  • Support data conversion and migration activities for Capital Spend data
  • Prepare summarized profiling results and gather feedback from data users to explain outliers
  • Support implementation of future Data Governance & Quality tools


Basic Requirements:


  • Intermediate knowledge of SAP and SAP data models
  • Intermediate Excel skills: candidate should be comfortable using Excel to manipulate large quantities of data
  • Intermediate knowledge of business processes and vernacular of projects or Capital Spending
  • 3+ years of experience in a functional subject matter expert Capital Spend or functional Capital Spend IT support role
  • 1+ years of experience analyzing data with a business focus and applying business knowledge to identify patterns and outliers in the data


Preferred Requirements:


  • Ability to evaluate data quality and make suggestions to improve
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Business Admin/Mgmt., Computer Science, Data Analytics, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, Engineering, another related business discipline, another related technical discipline, or foreign equivalent
  • Delivers positive results through realistic planning to accomplish goals
  • Takes ownership of actions and follows through on commitments by holding others accountable and standing up for what's right
  • Effective communicator
  • Experience with SAP data loading/querying tools and methods
  • Experience working with SQL
  • Builds effective solutions based on available information and makes timely decisions that are safe and ethical
