Capital Markets Analyst

Salary: $75,000 (+7.5% target bonus)

Stelvio Group are pleased to be recruiting a Capital Markets Analyst, for a fast-growing specialty insurance company based in Fort Washington, PA. This is an onsite position, in which the successful candidate would need to be able to commute to the office location 4 days a week to be considered (Fort Washington, PA).

For more than 35 years, our client has been redefining insurance. They educate financial advisors and consumers about the option to sell their life insurance policies, and purchase life insurance policies in transactions called life settlements. To date, their efforts have delivered more than $4 billion to consumers for policies they no longer needed.


About the role

As Capital Markets Analyst, you will be responsible for helping to establish, maintain and grow relationships with companies looking to deploy capital in the life settlement asset class through debt, equity, insurance/reinsurance, or other financial arrangements. Additionally, you will need to help with projects and M&A for a range of growth initiatives such as building an Insurtech business. These efforts are currently led by two managing directors in the Finance team, one based in Fort Washington and one in London, to whom the candidate will report.


Job responsibilities


Preparing marketing materials, deal summaries and term sheets in PowerPoint and Word.

Preparing financial models, analysis, and charts in Excel.

Analyzing potential investment opportunities.

Researching companies and markets online.

Contacting company representatives by phone and email.

Attending conferences in the U.S. and internationally.

Writing call reports and maintaining company database in Trello.

Project management including coordinating internal/external resources.

Diligencing and modeling for M&A activity.

Reporting to and interacting with senior management.


Requirements


• Proficiency in PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.

• Familiarity with financial modeling concepts, such as discounted cash flow analysis.

• Knowledge of capital markets infrastructure and products.

• Ability to speak confidently to and establish relationships with new company representatives.

• Attention to detail in marketing follow-up and management reporting.

• Bachelor’s degree (minimum GPA 3.2).
