Cafeteria Server - Private School - 6:30 AM to 2:30 PM - Some Weekends Required - Benefits
Wage: $17.00

Position Summary
Primary role is to serve meals to students at various food stations. Respond to student questions about food items and serve appropriately. May help with dining room maintenance including: wipe/wash tables; straighten tables and chairs; replenish napkins and condiments; pick up trash, etc. May re-stock cups, glasses, plates and utensils in server area. This position will also contribute to the utility function.
Responsibilities
  • Clean, organize and restock equipment/product returning from catering events.
  • Perform daily side work and helping to provide a safe and clean work environment.
  • Ensure that serving stations are properly equipped, set up and broken down, as well as returning equipment to designated storage areas in compliance with cafeteria standards and instructions.
  • Ensure exemplary guest service through all forms of cafeteria service, to include replenishing product and supplies as needed, in compliance with site standards.
  • Perform other duties that could be assigned.
  • Understand safety responsibilities as well as environmental laws by following established procedures, policies, training and involvement activities.
  • Understand what food products are being served, manage signage and temperature logs.
Requirements
  • Must be able to make independent decisions.
  • Must be able to respond to simple questions or inquiries from students, faculty or other members of the school community.
  • Must be able to read and understand simple instructions, memos and short correspondence.
  • One to two years of banquet service, restaurant or external catering experience or its equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Punctuality and consistent attendance.
