Cad Operator Jobs

Position Summary

Computer-Aided Design (CAD) operator will be responsible for updating Piping and Instrumentation Drawings (P&IDs), Electrical Loop Sheets, Single-Line Drawings, Process Flow Diagrams, Plant Layout, Civil, and other drawings, utilizing both Bentley MicroStation and Autodesk AutoCAD software. The CAD operator will be provided “red-lined” drawings as part of improvement, maintenance and capital projects and will create or update exist CAD drawings/documents per site and industry standards. The CAD operator will work closely with site engineers and PSM Coordinators as part of their job.

Primary Responsibilities

• Assist in site Central Files Department/Document Control and completing other tasks as assigned
• Create new CAD drawings per site and industry drawing standards
• Effectively communicate with site engineers and PSM Coordinators to deliver quality, error free drawings
• Print and distribute updated drawings
• Accurately update existing technical CAD drawings from “red-lined” drawings per site and industry drawing standards

Qualifications

• Experienced with both Bentley MicroStation and Autodesk AutoCAD software
• Proficient in use of the standard Microsoft Office Software (Outlook, Word, Excel) and comfortable using other computer software
• Good initiative and ability to work independently with minimal oversight
• Associates degree in drafting, CAD, Engineering technology, or similar field OR documented experience/training/certification in Computer-Aided Design software
• Experienced with reading and interpreting P&IDs, electrical, and other drawings
• Attention to detail with an ability to produce quality, error free drawings, minimizing amount of re-work
• Ability to communicate well with others
