What You’ll Get to Do:

Group Team in order to provide engineering development support for CACI optical and photonic solutions in Los Gatos, CA and Orlando, FL. This individual will participate in the design review and modification recommendations of mechanical components and assemblies for the group developing an optical communications terminal product. The ability to be adaptable and to work constructively with a technically diverse and geographically separated team is crucial. The ideal candidate should be an experienced, fast-learning, organized, proactive, and productive drafter who can adapt to a dynamic environment working independently and collaboratively, as required.

More About the Role:

Design components or portions of systems and modify existing designs in coordination with engineering, manufacturing and tooling, and customer requirements.

Help improve the production or facilitate manufacturing and/or field service operations.

Utilize computer-aided design equipment or graphics tools, such as CAD/CAM.

You’ll Bring These Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in appropriate field or appropriate experience in lieu of degree
• 5 years drafting experience
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Desire to work in a fast paced, mission-focused environment
• Highly responsible, team-oriented individual with a strong work ethic
• Must be a U.S. Citizen
• Demonstrated ability to establish effective working relationships
• Effective organizational skills with strong attention to detail

These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:

• Experience with CAD software tools
• Design for manufacturing experience
• Knowledge of standard manufacturing procedures as well as mechanical production processes
• Demonstrated understanding of mechanical design processes, practices, and procedures
