Your Role on Our Team:
JOB SUMMARY
You’ll be DISRUPTIVE through these duties and responsibilities:
  • Understand dimensioning and tolerancing calculations for complex designs.
  • Prepare drawings, product BOMs and change notices for release and/or change distribution
  • Able to manage own tasks, create schedules, and deliver project goals on time.
  • Provide CAD guidance to engineers and capable of mentoring new Designers.
  • Actively participate in project team meetings
  • Design components such as die castings, plastic molded parts, metal stampings and screw machine parts.
  • Comprehensive understanding and ability to apply geometric and form tolerance dimensioning
  • Assist in the acquisition and analysis of information and test data pertaining to research concepts, products, designs, subassemblies, and components
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Support Engineers in analysis, research, and solution of moderate to complex technical issues
  • Communicate with suppliers on part design, manufacturability, and requirements
  • Perform testing to analyze prototype and competitive tools to measure and record data/information for evaluation by Engineers
  • Proficient in translating Industrial Design concepts into CAD models, incorporating complex surfacing.
The TOOLS you’ll bring with you:
  • 2+ years of experience in designing, drafting, and computer modeling
  • Solid ME CAD skills – preferably experience with Siemens NX
  • Ability to balance multiple projects, responsibilities, and tasks with a focus on meeting customer completion dates.
  • Solid verbal and written communication skills -able to interact effectively with domestic and international teammates and be proactive in communications
  • A passion for mechanical design and creative problem-solving
  • Self-driven, displaying initiative with minimal supervision and demeanor that fosters continuous improvement and flexibility
  • Requires a technical Associate Degree
Other TOOLS we prefer you to have:
  • Prior experience with the methods and materials used to manufacture tools
  • Knowledge and hands-on experience and willingness to build rapid-prototypes, including procurement of components
  • Basic ability to interpret simple FEA (Finite Element Analysis) and CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) reports
  • Utilize tolerance stack-up tools to determine correct allocation of tolerances to ensure proper fits, clearances, and performance. Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference
