Job Description

Manor College invites applications for a full time faculty member in the Business Program eager toemploy your expertise, vision, and passion for undergraduate courses in Business and in Sports & Recreation Management.


Responsibilities

Working collaboratively with the Division Dean and other Business faculty, your role is to teach, advise, and mentor our students within the program. Your vision and leadership will guide our students and provide a high-quality education. You will have a commitment to active learning, assessing the program learning outcomes, and mentoring our students toward their professional development and successful graduation.

As a member of the faculty, you will contribute not only to the program, but to the College and full-University events and activities. You will:

  • Teach courses within the sports and recreation management program, as well as associated business and general education courses.
  • Serve on committees at the College and University levels, as appropriate.
  • Maintain familiarity with current texts, materials and teaching methodology.
  • Supervise independent studies, theses, and internships, when appropriate.


Qualifications

In this role, the skills and qualifications that you possess will include:

  • You will be able to demonstrate evidence of effective college/university teaching experience, both face-to-face and on-line.
  • Evidence of professional experience in sports and recreation management, marketing, and/or administration is preferred.
  • Qualified applicants will have a master’s degree in business or sport management or closely related discipline, with a terminal degree or ABD preferred. Qualified applicants will also have teaching experience in business and in sport management or a closely related discipline. Professional experience in the sport industry is highly desirable
  • Evidence of outreach or relationship building with external constituents.
  • Have an ability to work effectively with a diverse student and faculty population.
