OBJECTIVES:

  • Supports scope definition and participates with setting business priorities for changes and system implementations.
  • Analyses and interprets operational needs, problems, and opportunities of business processes.
  • Contributes to business processes improvements within area of responsibility.


ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Engage with business leaders and the user community to establish new or improve existing process models from which requirements can be translated into functional and non-functional system specifications.
  • Acts as a Project Manager to implement new technology solutions. Manages project work and stakeholders to ensure satisfactory project completion on time and on budget.
  • Acquires understanding of business processes. Proactively identifies technology solutions to address business problems. Aanalyzes and documents business requirements for area of responsibility.
  • Supports the technology needs for R&D Asset Transition and Integration Office (RATIO), R&D Regional Operations, and the Therapeutic Area Unit (TAU) teams.
  • Works with Procurement and Finance to manage all vendor-related activities within the area of responsibility, including vendor selection, statement of work (SoW), purchase requests, change requests, invoice payments & accruals, and purchase order (PO) closure.
  • Use or develop data analytics and visualizations to assess business processes, canvas requirements, assist in integration and testing of new solutions – all to facilitate efficient decision making for our stakeholders.
  • Acts as the Product Manager for production systems within the area of responsibility. Works closely with internal customers to continuously improve the capabilities of these systems to meet the growing business needs.
  • Acts as the liaison between the supported business teams and the Global Data & Technology (IT) teams. Assists in expediting the resolutions of IT issues and requests.
  • Leads development of business cases to secure funding for introducing new technical capabilities or systems.

EDUCATION, BEHAVIOURAL COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS:

Required:

  • Be able to work independently or as a team.
  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Experience with implementing applications. Familiar with common software development (SDLC) process.
  • Project management experience (agile or waterfall).
  • Flexible and agile. Able to manage multiple initiatives in a fast-paced environment. Strong desire to acquire new knowledge and skills including emerging technologies and new methodologies or processes.
  • Strong customer-focused mindset; willing to go extra mile to meet the customers’ needs.
  • 2+ years of relevant experience.
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills, business acumen with analytical and problem-solving skills.

Preferred:

  • Experience in supporting multiple cross functional, local or global projects.
  • Pharmaceutical industry and/or drug development business experience.
  • Professional certification in business analysis, project management or agile product management.
  • Familiarity with regulated systems – general level of understanding of systems validation.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to fly to meetings regionally and globally.
  • Access to transportation to attend meetings.

Location and Salary Information:

  • Base Salary Range: $91,700 to $131,000, based on candidate professional experience level. Employees may also be eligible for Short Term and Long-Term Incentive benefits as well. Employees are eligible to participate in Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, 401(k), Charitable Contribution Match, Holidays, Personal Days & Vacation, Tuition Reimbursement Program and Paid Volunteer Time Off.
  • The final salary offered for this position may take into account a number of factors including, but not limited to, location, skills, education, and experience.

This position is currently classified as “hybrid” in accordance with Takeda’s Hybrid and Remote Work policy.
