Meet our Team:

Finance Analytics and Data Services (FADS) Organization in PayPal is looking for a Business Systems Analyst with experience in the ETL and Data integration space, with knowledge in Crypto is a plus.
FADS is a Finance data platform team that integrates PayPal and its M&A-related transactional data post-payment processing by standardizing and applying finance business rules to support various finance business needs such as Accounting, Financial Reconciliation, Regulatory, Tax, Treasury, etc., in addition, there are several in-house applications that are developed which are used by the business for their operational needs and reporting.

Your Way to Impact:

This role will help the business teams to be up to date on the products/features PayPal is launching, ensure that the requirements related to their daily operations are communicated as well as incorporated in their monthly processes.

Your Day to Day:

  • Lead and conduct design workshops with data modeler, engineering team
  • Liaison with finance PMO in providing the details of the integration plan and support throughout the product launch.
  • Work closely with the BCDC (crypto) product team to understand the details of the product and communicate finance requirements.
  • Have a deep understanding of the product (Transaction Mode, Funds Flow, etc.) and work with finance business teams to gather business requirements.
  • Identify the scenarios, create the test plan, and share it will the engineering team for testing.
  • Create high-level conceptual flow based on the business requirements.
  • Translate the business requirements to the engineering team in the form of a confluence page and STTM documents.

What You Need to Bring:

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and an owner’s mindset; must be able to influence decision-making and drive projects end-to-end.
  • Has experience working with various stakeholders to understand their business needs and documenting the detail.
  • A strong technical knowledge in data integration, GCP, and big data technologies
  • A BA/BS/Master’s Degree in a related field is preferred but not required
  • Experience in translating product needs into technical requirements
  • Tech savvy and loves to stay up to date on industry trends.
  • Self-starter that takes a proactive approach to learn quickly.
  • A ‘can do’ spirit with a positive attitude that leads with customer empathy, preferably with a passion to drive positive change in customer’s lives through financial services.
  • Has experience in SQL, GCP BQ, Hadoop (Hive)
  • A successful candidate will have roughly 5 years of experience as a business systems analyst with relevant experience in finance systems integration.
