Description:

Growth Opportunity for high caliber individual! We are a local, long term, and growing industrial distributor looking for a Business Operations and Risk Manager to manage our credit and legal risk, maintain and build our internal processes to meet our business needs and essentially manage all operational facets of the business with the exception of HR, finance, and sales management. The responsibilities include determining and managing credit terms, evaluating liability risk of contracts brought by the sales department, managing internal processes including all the different software used by the company and general management of A/R, A/P, Order Entry and other daily business operations. We have an excellent and experienced team, but this individual will have full responsibility of the operations described. To be successful in this role, you should have experience in the same or similar role, managing all business operations and setting goals across the entire organization. You should have a very strong understanding of the distribution industry, logistical processes, inventory management, software integrations, accounting system operations and business liability risk as related to contract terms and conditions. You will need to demonstrate great leadership skills and be able to communicate the vision of the company across all levels. Ultimately, you will ensure that all business functions are in line with our strategic goals.


This is a position of responsibility, but it is not strictly management. We are a small company and growing aggressively. Successful candidate must be willing and able to go from performing detailed credit or legal risk evaluation of a potential contract to solving a problem with a phone system failure to troubleshooting a software or hardware issue that might be holding up operations. Your training is in real time, every day. Candidates that are unable to quickly identify problems and develop solutions with limited or no oversight should not apply. Skills

  • Experience with databases and financial management software
  • Good knowledge of operations management
  • Previous experience as a Business Operations Manager or in a similar role for several years
  • The ability to interpret financial data and allocate budgets
  • BS in Business Management or relevant field
  • Exceptional communication skills


Job Type: Full-time


Salary: $60,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year
