Qualifications
TITLE : Business Intelligence Reporting Analyst
DUTIES : Driving the data analytics and domain strategy at MBFS. Consulting with MBFS business areas on business information needs, translating business needs into analytics/BI requirements, developing the analytics/BI solution and interfacing with the business area to ensure successful customer outcomes. Leading within the team, mentoring, training, and directing other BI (Band 91s) and contractors within the team. Serving as data steward and advanced technical support for supported business areas. Driving the future state of the MBFS digital strategy for the data domain. Creating/maintaining technical design documentation to ensure capture of relevant meta data in support of the data management domain. Business Intelligence Solution Development - using various BI tools, work with business areas to create dashboards, analytics, and reports that provide business insight. Gathering and analyzing requirements from business users and developing BI solutions. Collaborating with IT partners to translate business requirements into technical specifications for IT supported
system solutions. Data stewardship – Partnering with the business, IT, and the BICC to evolve the reporting environment to meet future business needs. Working with business SMEs to identify and close existing data gaps in the reporting environment. Modifying and creating data warehouse specifications based on data requests. Analyzing and assessing impacts to the data warehouse and BI landscape for key project initiatives. Project management - Supporting Business Intelligence owned projects. Participating in MBFS initiatives and projects to assess impact to BI domain. Identifying potential issues and develop work arounds as needed to ensure continuity of BI solutions. Specialized reporting - Generating and maintaining reports and data extracts owned by the Business Intelligence Competency Center. Ad Hoc BI Support - Providing ad hoc reporting and analysis to supported business areas as needed using various BI tools.
REQUIREMENTS : Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Computer/ Information Science; Finance, Information Technology; Mathematics, Statistics, or related field of study. Three (3) years of experience in the job offered or related. Experience must include: Experience with BI solution toolset, including Cognos Analytics (Report Studio, Powerplay, Transformer, Workspace, Active Reports, Framework Manager), SAS, and Tableau, Alteryx; Experience in SQL including use of functions and statement types; Using PowerBI, Business Objects, SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), R, Python; Experience with data warehouse environments, relational data base management systems (RDMS), and Star Schema Data Marts; Knowledge of Indexing and partitioning use in SQL; Experience in Data Analytics and Data Management; and Experience in Agile/Scrum methodology.
