Business Intelligence Consultant Jobs

The Business Intelligence Consultant will be responsible for working closely with Client Services/Customer Success Leadership to define the required reporting and analytical needs for the platform. The position will create and configure both standard and custom reporting solutions, conduct quantitative and qualitative analysis, and provide associated reporting support. To be successful, this person will know the data for their assigned projects “an inch-wide and a mile deep”. They will have the ability to learn about the world of Quality Improvement in healthcare. The individual will also be instrumental in defining and tracking Key Performance Indicators that are required to drive improvement. The Hive Business Intelligence Consultant will also participate in helping craft a Data Quality strategy, understand the proper way to structure the database/i.e., data modeling, work with the database team on the data, and identify opportunities to leverage Patient Reported Outcomes from traditional studies. This person will report to the Data Operations Manager.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist in the analysis of information to understand various trends and related opportunities
• Assist leadership team to leverage our reporting to drive the business objectives
• Interpret reporting results and assist in the creation of action plans to drive business objectives
• Work closely with the team and users to design and deliver comprehensive reporting solutions
• Drive the creation and administration of Common Definitions leading to accuracy and trust of reporting
• Outline and facilitate the collection of key data sources needed to drive business insights and direction
• Design, configure and administer a self-service reporting program in order to support the reporting needs of the Client Services organization

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES

• Experience with Snowflake a plus
• Understanding of Data Analysis in relation to Business Process modeling
• 3+ years’ experience developing Business Intelligence/Analytics solutions (preferably in a consulting organization)
• Experience with SQL Server and Azure Analysis Services
• Experience with Azure Data Factory a plus
• Experience with Power BI and DAX development a plus
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple concurrent tasks
• Experience with Healthcare data is a plus
• Proficient in SQL (preferably T-SQL) development in a Business Intelligence/Analytics environment (Database Views, Stored Procedures, etc.)
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel
• Experience designing and developing data visualizations using industry standard tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, QlikView)
• Experience with Data Modeling (relational and tabular)
• Excellent time management, scheduling, and organizational skills
• Experience utilizing SQL to develop ETL processes
