BUSINESS INTELLIGENCE ANALYST

Evolytics is looking for a Business Intelligence Analyst to join the Business Intelligence Team. This position will work to create end-to-end solutions, helping clients organize, structure, and visualize their data in a way that delivers value and actionable insights. Key responsibilities will include:

• Design and build dashboards that enable actionable insights
• Create, prepare, and maintain databases and tables to power reports, dashboards, predictive models, and downstream analysis.
• Plan, design, and develop a dashboard project end-to-end including data preparation and dashboard development.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Create and maintain customized SQL queries to build reporting data structures.
• Validate data to determine and document any gaps between available data and requirements for reporting outputs, dashboards, modeling use cases, and downstream analysis.
• Build and maintain dashboards to support analysis, reporting, and performance optimization.
• Build and maintain database architecture, including fine-tuning and optimizing queries, data pipelines, and automation workflows.
• Manage multiple client requests and detailed project activities at any one time to ensure accurate, timely, and efficient reporting and analysis deliverables.

Data visualization and SQL skills are critical for this Business Intelligence role. Consideration will be given to qualified candidates with varying levels of experience, with compensation commensurate with experience.

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

• Working with AWS, Snowflake, Azure, or Google Cloud cloud-based data solutions
• Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Analytics, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, Marketing, or a related discipline
• Developing and implementing data transformation via ETL processes and data pipelines
• Deep experience with business intelligence and visualization tools such as Tableau, PowerBI, Quicksight, Qlik, Datorama, and/or Looker
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, listening and presentation skills
• The ability to work both as a team and independently
• Working with a leading analytics or relational database system, such as Redshift, Vertica, BigQuery, PostgreSQL, Microsoft SQL Server, or MySQL
• Advanced SQL knowledge
• Legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future

Other Experience That Is Helpful, But Not Required

• Working with enterprise ETL software such as Alteryx or Tableau Prep
• Proficiency in spreadsheet and presentation technologies such as Excel, PowerPoint, or Google Docs
• Using change release processes and tools such as git
• Working with clickstream web analytics tools such as Adobe Analytics (Omniture SiteCatalyst), Google Analytics, or working knowledge of the field of web analytics
• Working knowledge in at least one of the following scripting languages: Python or R
• Working in big data solutions such as Hadoop, Hive, or Spark
• Knowledge of commonly-used digital metrics, analytic concepts, and online marketing channel best practices
