Job Summary And Qualifications


At the direction of the CVP, you will organize and support the administrative contracting activities of the division PCA Teams. You will be responsible for developing task plans, monitoring task completion, development and updating of various grids, supporting rosters, listings and various proposals and other follow-up trackers. Additionally, you will be responsible for communicating deliverable status, both verbally and written, to project stakeholders. Light travel may be required.


General Responsibilities


The primary responsibility of the Business Analyst II is to organize administrative contracting activities into manageable work efforts for team members and determine an effective approach to completing those tasks. Those task will include but are not limited to the following:
  • Coordinate and administer managed care contract negotiation process for designated Division/Market, or as assigned
  • Rate/Coding review of rate sheets
  • Draft single case agreements utilizing templates
  • Contract Negotiation Prep and Review
  • Assist negotiators in tracking proposal progress for each assigned market
  • Document comparisons and summarize changes
  • Document prep/review
  • Centralized COE application process (applications, updates, new opportunities)
  • Review rate amendments for accuracy
  • Manage facility completion of credentialing and re-credentialing applications and process
  • Prepare and/or ensure high quality, professional deliverables as required by each project plan
  • PC / Technical Skills
  • Maintaining facility rosters with TINs, NPIs, Medicare/Medicaid numbers, physician and billing addresses, etc.
  • Coach team members to clarify tasks assignments, milestones, and deliverables
  • Research relevant industry information, intelligence and trends
  • Notice creation, Notice tracking/follow up (CDM, Acquisitions, name changes, objections, etc.)
  • Assist with revenue cycle payment issues and follow-up
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor
  • Bachelor’s Degree is preferred
  • Experience with Online collaboration tools, such as WebEx, SharePoint Teamrooms and conference calling tools
  • Manage and communicate a clear project scope and motivate team members
  • Contract Administration Resources
  • Proactively identify and manage risks and issues
  • Create central repository or update team rooms with hospital-based provider rosters, medical staff rosters, COE tracker, etc.
  • HUB contact for objection letters, coding updates, and collection of received payer policy letters
  • Draft communications for external distribution
  • Monitoring and reporting on project activities and report on status within published timeline
  • Review the active agreements in CTRAX and work with market PCA Teams to investigate whether these agreements should remain in place
  • Maintain effectiveness when experiencing major changes in work responsibilities or environment; adjusting effectively to work within new work structures, processes, requirements, or cultures.
  • 3+ years’ experience is preferred
  • Collect fee schedules, grouper schedules and supporting rate documents from health plans as updated and distribute internally
  • Manage E-signature process
  • Work with health plans to clean-up facility listings, NPI’s, etc. in their systems
  • Expert in Microsoft Office applications (including Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint)
  • Manage contracting process for acquisitions and new facility development
  • Centralized CTRAX resource for loading new contracts, amendments, pulling documents, creating rate/language grids
