Job Description
Position Summary

The Building Services Attendant maintains the cleanliness of the various departments within the Mayerson JCC as instructed.


Essential Functions
  • Maintain all restrooms, locker rooms, and assigned areas in a clean and sanitary manner
  • Laundry: Washing and folding towels
  • Maintain stairs, ramps, and sidewalks in a safe manner
  • Good communication skill and team player
  • Assisting members for package deliveries
  • Assist with receiving deliveries and distribution
  • Assist with building needs, including room set-ups and tear down
  • Assisting members for any question or help, they might need
  • Operating heavy machinery such as scrubber, buffer and side by side machine
  • Customer service oriented and good listening skill
  • Quick and efficient work ethic
  • Clean, sweep, mops, and vacuums facility
  • Performs housekeeping duties in and around the physical facility
Position Qualifications
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. as well as stand, sit, reach, stretch for extended periods of time
  • Prior experience in a building services setting preferred
  • Ability to work in fast-paced environment, as well as meet deadlines
  • Must be able to pass a background check
  • Successful candidate will value the relationship between members and employees and their impact on the Mayerson JCC
  • Must be willing to operate heavy machinery as well as work with cleaning chemicals
  • Ability to communicate effectively with others and work as a team player
