Building Maintenance Employee Jobs

The Village of Carol Stream seeks a motivated and service oriented individual to perform manual and semi-skilled labor in the maintenance of the Village’s municipal facilities and grounds. Responsibilities include preventative maintenance, landscaping, troubleshooting and repair duties involving HVAC, carpentry, painting, plumbing, electrical, and janitorial services as needed. The ability to perform general routine labor including lifting and moving heavy objects, operating tools and equipment, working in various weather conditions, responding to emergency call-ins, and working flexible hours as needed, are additional requirements of this position.

Qualified individuals must possess the following:

· High school degree or equivalent

· A valid Illinois Vehicle Operators License

· A minimum 2 years of experience or equivalent training in Building Maintenance and Repair including Heating and Cooling, Outdoor Maintenance and Landscaping

· Knowledge of Basic Maintenance of Building Mechanical Systems, Hazards and Safety Precautions.

· A desire to learn.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $27.01 per hour
