Job Description
The purpose of this position is the coordination and preparation of the City’s operating budget, capital improvement plan, and performance measurement processes.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
  • Prepares and maintains budget records, files, and spreadsheets; formats and produces sections of the annual operating budget, the performance plan, the capital improvement plan, and the popular annual report.
  • Supports the external agency
  • Assists with management analysis projects, including implementing the appropriate analytical method and conveying
  • Monitors budgets for assigned areas and recommends appropriate methods to address budgetary
  • Coordinates the City’s performance measurement program, including recommending performance measures or monitoring performance measures for impact and cost
  • Assists with the coordination of the operating budget development process by preparing forms and instructions, analyzing requests and providing funding recommendations, and maintaining the budget software
  • Conducts budget-related trainings and presentations.
  • Maintains advanced analytical models for financial decision making.
  • Collects and summarizes departmental capital improvement project submissions for review and ensures capital improvement project requests are balanced and budgeted for upcoming fiscal
