**Your New Role…**


The BA Production Designer reviews products and manages submissions featuring any Warner Bros. Disovery owned properties (e.g. Looney Tunes, DC Comics and Harry Potter), and third party owned properties (e.g. certain Theatrical properties) within a contractually stipulated time-frame (10 working days includes all party approvals) in the following areas: character likeness; legal copyright/trademark information; WBDGCP policies and brand management. Utilizes property knowledge in product design to help drive revenue into WBDGCP. Working quickly and efficiently using the approval system Star Labs as well as working with Creative and PD to ensure that licensees produce compelling product that best represents our brands at retail.


**Your Role Accountabilities…**

Utilizes extensive knowledge of the manufacturing and product development process and applies WBDGCP policies and procedures, to provide meaningful, detailed comments on the concept, pre-production and final samples submitted by licensees. Submission items include but are not limited to product, packaging, marketing materials, (i.e.: commercial, sell sheets, websites) and POP/POS, which serve as a legal record under the contract with the licensees.

Works with management to protect trademarks/copyrights and obtains all necessary third-party approvals from Senior Management, Sister Divisions, Legal, Talent, internal WBDGCP Divisions, and other third parties


+


Acts as the brand ambassador and provides direction on submissions from licensees on brand integrity, creative direction and legal copy


+


Applies independent thinking and problem solving, along with the knowledge of WBDGCP policies and procedures, and licensees’ processes and limitations to arrive at alternative solutions which benefit the licensee and continue to protect the Company legally


**Qualifications & Experience…**


**Work Experience**


+


Minimum 3 years in Brand Assurance or equivalent job experience


+


Retail, merchandising, art development, or overseas manufacturing/sourcing experience is needed.


+


Education, Professional Training, Technical Training or Certification


+


High school diploma required


+


AA or BA college degree in Graphic Design, Production, or Merchandising preferred


**Knowledge/Skills**


+


Must know Adobe creative programs


+


Strong knowledge of Windows 2007, Microsoft Word and Excel required


+


Proficient Typing Skills Required Approximately 55 Wpm


+


Must have the ability to absorb and respond quickly to given information


+


Must have the ability to learn the various properties and distinguish different styles of art from others in order to accurately process submissions


+


Must have the ability to learn about art production and manufacturing processes in general


+


Must be able to multi-task and give design direction and communicate that quickly and effectively


+


Must be able to interface professionally with department, licensees, and all levels of management on behalf of the department

Must be detailed and preferably have an artistic eye

Must have the ability to learn about handling digital images

Knowledge of file set-up, maintenance and filing procedures

Must have good spelling, grammar, punctuation, and English usage and be able to accurately describe images in words, and accurately record all verbiage in the database correctly

Must be able to properly sift through information and properly identify emergencies and handle them

Must have the ability to acquire and work with knowledge of properties in all categories, i.e., giftware, housewares, toys, apparel, accessories, publishing, and promotions

Must have the ability to acquire and work with knowledge of copyrights and trademarks for use in product approvals


+


Must be able to work independently


+


Must be able to communicate effectively and tactfully with all levels of personnel, inside and outside of the company


+


Must be detail oriented


+


Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize work effectively

**The Legal Bits…**


In compliance with local law, we are disclosing the compensation, or a range thereof, for roles in locations where legally required. $54,600.00 - $101,400.00 salary per year. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards. In addition, Warner Bros. Discovery provides a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, an employee wellness program, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays and paid time off (PTO).
