Our exceptional client has engaged us in a search for their next Director of Finance. The Director of Finance will be a strategic partner to the CEO and a key member
of the leadership team. We are searching for an analytical director of finance to oversee our clients company’s financial planning and accounting operations. Additionally, this role is responsible for managing the board of director administration and financial and operational activities within accounting and financial reporting.
The ideal candidate will be an excellent communicator with outstanding interpersonal and leadership abilities. Your goal will be to guide the company towards profitability and success.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Guarantee compliance with financial laws and guidelines.
- Manage relationships and coordination with external financial entities on behalf of the company such as tax advisors, auditors, and financial institutes.
- Perform regular financial analysis.
- Manage cash flow and financial instruments
- Oversee the financial strategic planning of the company by evaluating its performance and potential risks.
- Develop budgets that meet the requirements of company departments
- Assist with efforts to raise additional capital and grants
- Recognize patterns in company spending, revenue, and recommend solutions to any problem areas
- Prepare detailed reports on the company’s financial performance.
- Prepare and present financial and other related reports as required by company policy, local, state, and/or federal laws and regulations.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
- Gather, prepare, and provide financial information to board, stakeholders, partners, and funders.
- Establish targets and manage accounting and Supervise all audit and internal control processes.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND COMPETENCIES
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience in financial management.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- An analytical mind with good organizational skills.
- Thorough understanding of the laws, regulations, and policies that govern the financial and banking industry.
- Experience with project-based and activity-based accounting
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, or Business Administration required.
- Ability to use sound judgment to make decisions in line with company goals.
- Outstanding leadership skills.
- Ability to review and analyze financial documents and reports and to identify trends, risks, weaknesses, and other pertinent information
- Ability to work independently.
- In-depth knowledge of accounting software, corporate principals, and financial analysis.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Experience with nonprofit financial management is a plus.
