Job Description

Working directly with the CEO & COO, the bookkeeper is responsible for the company’s financial data and compliance by maintaining accurate books on accounts payable and receivable, and daily financial entries and reconciliations. They perform daily accounting tasks such as monthly financial reporting, general ledger entries, and record payments and adjustments.

What will you do?

  • Assist CPA with annual State and Federal tax return preparation
  • Review data about material assets, net worth, liabilities, capital stock, surplus, income, or expenditures.
  • Bank reconciliation, petty cash reconciliation
  • Develop, maintain, or analyze budgets, preparing periodic reports that compare budgeted costs to actual costs
  • Report to management regarding the finances of the establishment.
  • Review accounts for discrepancies and reconcile differences.
  • Prepare adjusting journal entries.
  • Process monthly payroll
  • Oversee inventory transactions in company accounting system, to help accurately maintain inventory stock. This includes also assisting with and eventually overseeing annual stock take.
  • Manage monthly and quarterly tax payments
  • Prepare, analyze, or verify annual reports, financial statements, and other records, using accepted accounting and statistical procedures to assess financial condition and facilitate financial planning.
  • Prepare financial scheduled monthly and ad hoc reports for company department managers, including cash flow reports, GM%, and project financial report
  • Prepare 1099
  • Accounts Payable / Receivable
  • Manage QuickBooks updating (Cost vs. Sell for price adjustments)
  • Prepare Invoices

How to join our team:

Education

  • High School diploma / GED

Experience

  • Proficiency in Excel.
  • Proven ability to work independently with a minimum of supervisor input.
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
  • Must be able to pass a criminal background check.
  • Must have experience with QuickBooks
  • Must be proficient in the English language.
  • 2+ years of experience in a Bookkeeping role
