STRETCHMETAL IS SEEKING A BOOKING COORDINATOR TO JOIN OUR TEAM.

Position Overview:

We are excited to announce an opportunity for an ambient music-appreciating individual to join our team as a Music Booking Coordinator for our tape label and live events. In this role, you will be responsible for booking artists for our tape label releases as well as live events, ensuring the continued growth and success of StretchMetal. This position provides a valuable experience in music booking, artist management, and event coordination within the experimental and ambient music community.

Responsibilities:

• Administrative Support: Provide administrative assistance, including maintaining booking databases and assisting with budgeting and financial management related to artist fees and event expenses.
• Artist Booking: Research, identify, and reach out to emerging and established ambient artists to book for StretchMetal tape label releases. Coordinate with artists to secure rights for music releases and collaborate on the creative vision for each release.
• Live Event Coordination: Collaborate with the production team to organize and manage the logistics of live music events.
• Artist Relations: Act as the main point of contact for booked artists, ensuring clear and effective communication. Provide artists with the necessary information, including event details, schedules, and any specific requirements.

Qualifications:

- Strong passion for experimental and ambient music.

- Excellent organizational and time management skills.

-Effective written and verbal communication skills.-

-Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

-Knowledge of music industry practices and familiarity with artist booking processes are a plus.

This is an unpaid internship position, designed for individuals seeking valuable experience in music booking and event coordination for both tape label releases and live events. The internship duration is 6 months, with the option to extend based on performance and mutual agreement. Applicants close to the Chicagoland area are preferred but remote is okay. 10-15 hours/week.College credit can be arranged if applicable.
