Job Description

The Opportunity

ABN’s impact and services are growing, and we want to grow board size with it. We are looking to bring on four new members with priority backgrounds in board governance and fundraising.

We are looking for Board Members who

  • Are connected to personal and professional networks of philanthropically minded people.
  • Are passionate about immigrants
  • Enjoy outreach, relationship management, development, fundraising, and communications.
  • Are leaders in their fields and looking to leverage their network to create new partnership opportunities to advance ABN's mission
  • Have strengths or an interest in board governance, fundraising, legal, workforce development, financial management, policy, and organizational development

Requirements

  • Commitment to devote time, talent, and resources in working with ABN to support the career development of skilled immigrants in Massachusetts
  • Previous board experience is desired but required.
  • Attend and participate in board meetings and participate in committee work
  • 10+ years of professional experience and/or community leadership.
  • Desire to make a positive impact in the lives of immigrants

This is a non-compensatory board role. We ask our Board Members to serve 3-year terms and invite one new board member to the team each year they serve. Serving on the ABN Board is an opportunity to engage in impactful work among the immigrant community in Massachusetts. Reach out to Emmanuel Owusu, the Executive Director ([email protected]), today to start a conversation about how you can make a difference.
