We are looking for a Biomedical Equipment Technician and Trainer to train service centers on the preventative maintenance and repair of medical devices. You will report to the Service Manager in Salt Lake City, UT. Remote, Onsite, or hybrid work options may be considered.
As a Biomedical Equipment Technician and Trainer you will:
  • Perform maintenance and calibration of factory equipment
  • Investigate failures of customer-owned devices
  • Help continue audit of service centers for procedure requirements
  • Perform training for external biomed engineering and biomed departments
  • Develop, update, and maintain technical training manuals and associated documents, device service & repair instructions, and travelers
  • Update, and provide virtual training offerings by online live meeting platforms
  • Coordinate training class details (ie, location, supplies, attendee lists/certificates, accommodations)
  • Provide technical support and equipment evaluation for both internal, external customers, and service centers
To be considered for the Biomedical Equipment Technician and Trainer role, here’s what you’ll need to bring with you:
  • Succeed in regulated compliance-oriented environment while still providing service excellence.
  • Work in a team environment and to independently function in technical capacities.
  • Associates degree or higher in electronics, biomedical equipment technology or equivalent; or three years experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Approximately 25% Travel
