Job Description

Job Title

Biomedical Engineering Technician III - Los Angeles, CA

This position supports our Multi-Vendor Biomedical business within the greater Los Angeles area. This position will be responsible for customer relationship management through the effective use of technical knowledge to install, troubleshoot, and service Biomedical Equipment at customer sites solutions at customer sites.

Your role:

  • Represents Philips professionally in both customer and internal team situations.
  • Documentation of solutions to ensure support teams and other consultants can participate in support and onward development.
  • Collaborate on fulfilling technical implementation deliverables such as detailed design documentation, system build, configuration, and testing.
  • Resolve technical issues and offers proactive technical support.
  • Maintaining and repairing a diverse range of Biomedical equipment for your assigned accounts.
  • Based on customer requirements, serves as a consultant to provide technical recommendations that best suit the environment

You're the right fit if:

  • Knowledge of computers and networking; PC competency to include utilization of Microsoft Office Suite products.
  • Associate Degree in electronics or equivalent combination of education and experience. At least 2 years’ experience in diagnostic imaging or 4 years’ experience in the electronics industry, preferably in a field service environment.
  • You must be able to successfully perform the following minimum Physical, Cognitive and Environmental job requirements with or without accommodation for this position.
  • 4+ years of experience servicing electronic equipment required; field service in a hospital setting and/or healthcare environment is strongly preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics and site drawings with minimal assistance.
  • Ventilator servicing experience
  • Ability to understand and apply electronic, mechanical, and networking theory to install, diagnose, and repair equipment, including knowledge and use of all necessary tools and test equipment.
  • Located in or near the greater Los Angeles area.

Philips Transparency Details

The hourly pay range for this position is $25.86 to $44.33. The actual base pay offered may vary depending on multiple factors including job-related knowledge/skills, experience, business needs, geographical location, and internal equity.

In addition, other compensation, such as an annual incentive bonus, sales commission or long-term incentives may be offered. At Philips, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top end of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent upon the facts and circumstances of each case.
