Job Description
Position Summary


Ogletree Deakins has the opportunity for an experienced Immigration Billing Coordinator to join the Firm’s expanding practice. The Billing Coordinator is responsible for all routine clerical duties needed to support the billing department including retrieving back-up documentation, researching and preparing client refunds to upload, processing approved client refunds, submit vendor invoices, verify and upload attorney/paralegal credit allocations, and finalize approved attorney/paralegal credit allocations. The Billing Coordinator is expected to perform all job responsibilities with a commitment to providing excellent service to clients, attorneys and colleagues while producing a timely and accurate work product. Additionally, the Billing Coordinator is expected to maintain an atmosphere of teamwork and continuous improvement.


Essential Functions


  • Research and submit monthly approved paralegal/attorney credit allocations.
  • Verify incoming VT Cancel reports, upload data to Aderant, send monthly emails containing available credits to attorneys and submit client refunds based on attorney approval for fees and cost.
  • Data entry as needed.
  • Complete, process and manage numerous detailed reports required by the client.
  • Retrieve requested client back-up documentation.
  • Effectively respond to billing specialist inquiries and special projects.


Requirements


  • Must be customer service oriented with strong problem solving skills.
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize and use time efficiently.
  • Basic accounting knowledge.
  • Must be a team player and seek ways to assist and improve processes.
  • Other projects or duties as assigned by the Immigration Billing Manager.
  • Anticipate work needs and organize work flow; follow through with minimal direction and follow up independently and on own initiative.
  • Must be detailed oriented with strong planning and organizational skills.
  • Aderant experience is a plus.
  • Ability to perform at a high level under tight deadlines and in a fast paced, ever-changing work environment.
  • Legal billing experience is preferred.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly with Excel and Outlook.
  • Ability to work overtime as required to fulfil the firm’s goals.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills including the ability to interact with all levels of staff, attorneys and external clients.

Benefits


In accordance with the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the expected salary range for this Colorado position is between $59,200 and $83,900. In accordance with New York City’s Wage Transparency Law, the expected salary range for this New York City position is between $63,800 and $92,900. In accordance with California’s amended labor code as stated in Senate Bill 1162, the expected salary range for this California position is between $59,200 and $101,900. In accordance with the Washington Equal Pay and Opportunities act, the expected salary range for this Washington position is between $62,900 and $88,400. Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience, geographic location, and other job-related factors as permitted by law. This position qualifies for the benefits below.
