Job Description

We are seeking a talented Big Data QA Engineer who will be responsible for analyzing requirements, developing test scenarios & cases, and will clearly document all QA testing performed and any issues discovered. Additionally, this individual will perform quality assurance checks on bug fixes and system enhancements and communicate any issues clearly with Dev team, while also continuously striving to learn, improve, and adhere to all confidentiality and compliance regulations. Our QA Engineer should exhibit professionalism and trustworthiness. You should have excellent communication and organizational skills, as well as an ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.


 Work with product managers to create testing strategies, test plans and test cases for assigned components.

 Perform end to end QA including system testing, integration testing, database testing, functional testing etc.

 Develop PL/SQL queries to extract and update data from various database tables and perform data validation and verification.

 Optimization of SQL queries for query performance and identifying necessary Indexes.

 Analyze, test, and build tools to meet the data quality validation needs for a cloud platform-based application.

 Design and implement automated Frameworks using Selenium, Python etc.,

 Create and maintain automation scripts to meet acceptance criteria.

 Perform bug tracking and defect management using JIRA.

 Help create and implement quality processes and requirements.

 Identify and communicate risks about our releases.

 Produce and maintain up to date documentation within documentation framework

 Provide visibility into all Work in Progress for each week

 Technically interface with the developers, engineers and architects

 Provide project management skills when projects arise

 Perform all other duties as assigned


Job Qualifications:


 High School Diploma or equivalent required, Associates or Bachelor’s degree preferred

 5+ years of Quality Assurance experience required

 Proficient in Data warehouse, Windows, Web, and API testing

 Good Knowledge of SQL and Data analytic testing

 Knowledge of one or more scripting or programming languages

 Good understanding of Database Objects - Tables, Indexes, Views, Stored Procedures and User defined functions according to the requirements of the project

 Experience working on Agile methodology

 Excellent verbal and written communication skills

 Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

 Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Microsoft Excel

 Ability to work under pressure and remain flexible to changing schedules and work demands

 Ability to maintain confidentiality, and to exercise discretion and good judgement

 Experience with Google Cloud Platform, AWS, Hive, Big Query, Spark, SQL, PGSQL, Java Script, Eclipse, Selenium, and Python
