How You Make a Difference


The Business Intelligence Developer II is a key player responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining Enterprise reporting systems that support primary and secondary business functions. This position requires a thorough understanding of data analysis, data warehousing, and data modeling techniques. The Business Intelligence Developer II will work closely with cross-functional teams to provide technical support and guidance to stakeholders, ensuring effective data-driven decision-making.


Key Responsibilities


  • Perform other duties as assigned in support of the successful implementation and ongoing support of Business Intelligence systems, processes, and standards.
  • Monitor and tune the performance of Business Intelligence databases and processes, and act as a liaison between the business and technology to determine requirements and develop OLAP and Relational designs.
  • Analyze, define, and document system requirements for data, workflow, logical processes, interfaces, and outputs, and create both business and technical design documents.
  • Collaborate with business users and clients to resolve data quality issues, troubleshoot database related issues, and mentor less experienced team members.
  • Develop and maintain KPI dashboards for key organizational players, work with the ETL team to create BI models, and continually identify opportunities for improvement.

Qualifications & Requirements


Education


  • Relevant Bachelor's Degree


Experience


  • Experience troubleshooting common report data and design issues
  • Strong organizational skills and dedication to quality
  • Comfortable working with large, cross-functional groups of stakeholders
  • Experience analyzing data to identify potential issues, trends, or exceptions to drive data quality
  • Experience: 3+ years of Business Intelligence Dashboard Development (Tableau preferred but other BI platforms considered.)
  • Strong critical thinking/problem-solving skills
  • Intermediate to high level of knowledge of SQL, writing SQL code with the ability to create, debug, and modify complex SQL stored procedures, views, and functions
