Job Description
The Ben & Jerry’s Attendant will ensure service standards are met by providing friendly and professional service while delivering high quality food and beverage offerings as part of Thunder Valley's Food Court Operations. The Ben & Jerry’s Attendant will follow proper food preparation techniques in accordance with Ben & Jerry’s and Thunder Valley Casino Resort practices and perform a variety of duties including scooping ice cream, handling cash, baking, and cleaning. The Ben & Jerry’s Attendant will provide Guests and fellow Team Members with a friendly, upbeat presence while maintaining a clean atmosphere.


  • Follow inventory stocking and recording guidelines.
  • High school diploma or equivalent education preferred.
  • Follow established internal control procedures for obtaining banks, returning banks, and non-cash paperwork drop.
  • Welcome and connect with every Guest. Provide information regarding all products offered.
  • Practice, support, and promote Thunder Valley Casino Resort’s “Winning Attitude” company-wide culture and demonstrate AAA Four Diamond service standards at all times.
  • Maintain knowledge of all products offered and ensure that all products are served to the Guests according to Thunder Valley Casino Resort and Ben & Jerry’s standards.
  • Present a professional demeanor and demonstrate clear communication with all Guests and Team Members.
  • Ability to handle a wide variety of tasks simultaneously while serving customers.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with Guests, Team Members and Management in both written and verbal form.
  • Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Must be able to obtain UAIC Tribal Gaming License.
  • Perform preventative maintenance in accordance with preventative maintenance checklist.
  • Make all needed fresh baked waffle cones.
  • Anticipate Guests’ needs and appropriately suggest additional products to enhance service and meet sales goals.
  • Follow SOPs, recipe books, and guidelines and have all necessary supplies to provide consistency and quality of service.
  • Any combination of education, training, or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities. One (1) year of experience in a food service outlet is preferred.
  • Perform cleaning tasks in accordance with duty rosters and cleaning standards to maintain the appearance and sanitation of the restaurant service area and equipment.
  • Follow cash handling and register policies including processing Guest checks following established procedures and proper tendering of transactions.
  • Follow standards for merchandising, stocking, rotating, and storing all products. Restock all products throughout the shift as necessary.
  • Responsibilities must be performed in accordance with all Company standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Using proper equipment and appropriate training, follow established policies and procedures in addition to specifications for operational flow at each station.


Physical Requirements


  • Must be able to lift twenty (20) lbs.
  • Must be able to enter walk-in units with temperatures to -10 degrees.
  • Must be able to walk and stand for extended periods of time.
  • Manual dexterity to operate job related equipment.
  • Must be able to bend and reach to a height of six (6) feet with or without assistance.
  • Requires normal, corrective vision range, the ability to see color and the ability to distinguish letters, numbers and symbols.

The Lead Dos Coyotes Attendant will assist Dos Coyotes management with daily operating procedures such as maintaining quality store operations, maximizing financial performance, and providing oversight and direction to Team Members in Dos Coyotes. The Lead Dos Coyotes Attendant will ensure service standards are met by providing friendly and professional service while ensuring high quality food and beverage offerings.


  • Submit daily orders with the use of designated computer terminals.
  • Welcome and connect with every Guest. Answer telephones and provide information about the restaurant
  • One (1) year of experience as a shift lead or supervisor.
  • Possess and demonstrate great attention to detail in order to maintain kitchen’s appearance and operating standards.
  • Follow SOPs, recipe books, and guidelines and have all necessary supplies to provide consistency and quality of service.
  • Must have current ServSafe Certificate.
  • Follow inventory stocking and recording guidelines including but not limited to, receiving daily pallet deliveries, placing all products from pallets in each assigned area, following all proper rotation procedures, and ensuring all products in place are properly labeled for use. Follow standards for merchandising, stocking, rotating, and storing all products.
  • Practice, support, and promote Thunder Valley Casino Resort’s “Winning Attitude” company-wide culture and demonstrate AAA Four Diamond service standards at all times.
  • Effectively communicate new product information to Team Members.
  • Must be able to read all tickets and organize food production in a timely manner.
  • Anticipate Guests’ needs and appropriately suggest additional products to enhance service and meet sales goals.
  • Ability to work in a kitchen environment involving high volume production.
  • Prepare and cook food in a timely manner according to the needs of the daily operations and in accordance with Thunder Valley Casino Resort and Dos Coyotes standards and specifications.
  • Present a professional demeanor and demonstrate clear communication with all Guests and Team Members.
  • Assist Guests with seating when needed. Process dine-in and to-go orders and run food to Guests’ tables when orders are ready.
  • High school diploma or equivalent education preferred.
  • Follow established internal control procedures for obtaining banks, returning banks, and non-cash paperwork drop.
  • Compile daily end-of-shift reports and communicate with other leads and Dos Coyotes management.
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Follow cash handling and register policies including processing Guest checks following established procedures and proper tendering of transactions.
  • Set pars for daily product preparation, adjusting to match business needs.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with Guests, Team Members and Management in both written and verbal form.
  • Must be able to obtain UAIC Tribal Gaming License.
  • Set and adjust Team Member break times to match business needs.
  • Successfully complete and implement Dos Coyotes operational training.
  • Maintain service area and equipment in a clean and appealing manner.
  • Ensure that kitchen and equipment are in good working order and that the work area is clean and hazard-free. Notify Dos Coyotes management immediately if kitchen and equipment are not in good working order.
  • Three (3) years of experience in a food service outlet.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Maintain cleanliness, safety, and sanitation standards in accordance with department policies and those of the Department of Indian Health.
  • Respond to incidental Guest issues, issue refunds, process comps, and process voids.


Physical Requirements


  • Must be able to bend and reach to a height of 6 feet with or without assistance.
  • Must be able to push up to 250 lbs. on a pushcart.
  • Must be able to walk and stand for extended periods of time in a hot or cold kitchen environment.
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs. with or without assistance.
  • Must be able to enter walk-in units with temperatures to -10 degrees.
  • Manual dexterity to operate job related equipment.
