Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Behavior Technician for the Douglass Developmental Disabilities Center. The Behavior Technician implements a variety of behavior analytic strategies to support successful outcomes for children with autism across the areas of skill acquisition and/or behavior reduction in home-based settings..
Among the key duties of this position are the following:

- Contributes to the development of behavior analytic instructional programming under the supervision of a Behavior Analyst.
- Collects, interprets and, with oversight from the board certified behavior analyst (BCBA), analyzes behavioral data.

Qualifications
Minimum Education and Experience
- An equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be substituted for the experience requirement.
- High School diploma or equivalent, and/or up to 4 years of relevant office, clerical, bookkeeping, library assistant or related experience depending on the duties to be performed.
Certifications/Licenses
- Current certification or willingness to become certificated as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT).
- Valid driver’s license and use of personal vehicle to travel to client’s home.
- Certification as an RBT will be required within 30 days of start date.
Preferred Qualifications
- At least 6 months of prior experience supporting individuals with developmental disabilities in an ABA setting is preferred
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Highly organized and ability to work independently.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Immunization Requirements
Under Policy 60.1.35 Immunization Policy for Rutgers Employees and Prospective Employees, Rutgers University requires all prospective employees to provide proof that they are fully vaccinated and have received a booster (where eligible) against COVID-19 prior to commencement of employment, unless the University has granted the individual a medical or religious exemption. Employees who are not eligible for a booster at the time of an offer of employment must provide proof they have received a booster upon eligibility and upload proof of same. Under Policy 100.3.1 Immunization Policy for Covered Individuals, if employment will commence during Flu Season, Rutgers University may require certain prospective employees to provide proof that they are vaccinated against Seasonal Influenza for the current Flu Season, unless the University has granted the individual a medical or religious exemption. Additional infection control and safety policies may apply. Prospective employees should speak with their hiring manager to determine which policies apply to the role or position for which they are applying. Failure to provide proof of vaccination for any required vaccines or obtain a medical or religious exemption from the University will result in rescission of a candidate’s offer of employment or disciplinary action up to and including termination.
