Behavior Interventionist Jobs

The Burlington School District seeks an energetic, skilled Behavioral Interventionist to fill a full-time position in an elementary school environment. The position requires a general knowledge of autism and cognitive development, the ability to remain calm in addressing behavior and delivering instruction, and ability to maintain a positive attitude during crisis situations. Previous experience working with students experiencing challenging behaviors, working with young adults and crisis response. Job duties include implementing an ABA based behavioral intervention plan, delivering instructional materials / activities, applying self-regulation and skill building techniques, self-care skills, and managing aggressive behaviors at times.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Qualifications include but not limited to: high school diploma plus at least 2 years additional education; minimum of two years experience in education or related field; ability to communicate effectively and respectfully with students, parents and school staff.

SALARY:

As per the Master Agreement between the Burlington Board of School Commissioners and the Paraeducators of the Burlington School District.

Pay: $19.97 - $24.04 per hour
