Job Description
Do you love fun? Who doesn't, right? What about games? Do you love games? How about science projects and artsy crafty stuff?

We are hiring now at all levels for our school aged programs. The YMCA's Youth Programs are growing fast, and we are seeking outstanding staff to support our expanding school-age offerings and grow into leadership roles.

We are looking for candidates who love to get creative with construction paper and duct tape, who are happy to help kids with even the most challenging homework and who are always ready for a game of tag. We are looking for staff to ensure our kiddos are safe, secure and engaged while teaching them our core values: respect, responsibility, honesty and caring. Help us make a positive difference in the lives of those we serve each day in our programs.

Shifts/Hours: Program hours are mornings 6:15am-8:30am and/or 3:00-6:00pm M-F and more hours available on days when school is out for full day camp. We prefer staff to be available at least 3 consistent days per week, but we are also looking for substitutes. You can choose to do just before school, just after school, or a combination.

Locations: Weld RE-5J District buildings in the Milliken/Johnstown area.

Job responsibilities include working as part of our site team to ensure a safe and challenging environment for our school age participants implementing our core values, gym and group games, arts and crafts.

Requirements/Certifications: Applicants must be committed to being a positive role model with youth. Must have the ability to work well on a team, communicate easily with youth, parents and colleagues and be committed to implementing YMCA programming and fun. Please be at least 16 years old. Please have at least 480 hours of verifiable experience working with 4 or more school age children (scouting, summer camp, sports, Sunday school or enrichment programs) and/or meet Director level state guidelines.

Salary range: $16-20 per hour based on experience, availability, and state licensing guidelines. This position is part time, year round with opportunities for full time for summer season. In addition, we offer a +10% differential for bilingual staff (Spanish and English).

All Employees receive a free individual membership and anyone working 10+ hours receives a free family membership, 50-100% off our programs and if eligible, we contribute the equivalent of 10% of your salary to the YMCA Retirement Fund.

Full-time employees enjoy a minimum of 3 weeks of paid vacation, 88 hours of paid sick time, and 8 paid holidays per year. Free YMCA programs include: after-school programs, Camp NOCO traditional day camp, youth sports, learn to skate, and swim lessons. Discounted YMCA programs include: preschool, YMCA Camp Santa Maria overnight camp, personal training, and specialty summer camps. The Y offers generous medical, dental, and vision benefits. We provide long-term disability and life insurance at no cost to full-time employees.

Part-Time employees also receive paid sick time at 1 hour for every 30 hours worked.
