Barista (Part-Time) Jobs

Responsibilities I nclude ( but are not limited to ) :

• Prepare and serve a selection of specialty coffees and prepared espresso beverages
• Anticipate guest needs, ascertain satisfaction, and offer suggestions, and respond urgently and appropriately to guest concerns and requests
• Confirm guest orders , including any special needs or requests , from the guest using the hotel’s point-of-sales system

• Maintain high level of cleanliness, organization, and stocking at the bar area
• Properly and accurately close guest checks; process cash and credit card payments; properly settle voided checks or complimentary items
• Ensure each guest is greeted promptly, courteously, graciously with eye contact, and a smile
• Work harmoniously and professionally with co-workers and supervisors.

Preferred Qualifications and Skills:

• The Barista position may require continuous standing for up to 8 hours a day and requires the ability to lift up to 50lbs
• Experience working a minimum of 1 - 2 years in Food & Beverage
• Thrive working in a fast paced, and large team environment
• Previous Barista training and experience is preferred

• Ability to accurately process cash and credit card transactions
• Strong oral presentation skills
• Knowledge of Nashville and surrounding areas, highly desirable, however not required
• Ability to multi-task in a high volume and demanding environment
• Must be flexible with schedule - Able to work weekdays, weekends, and holidays shifts

• Strong problem-solving skills, ability to handle difficult situations and guests
• Requires reading, writing and oral proficiency in the English language
