Barback, Voodoo Lounge Nightclub

Work VooDoo show days/nights to support bar staff during events. This position does not include a consistent schedule and will mirror fluctuating show dates scheduled in VooDoo nightclub. Shows are often on Fri/Sat nights but may be scheduled other days. This is often a good 2nd job and not a main source of income as hours vary. Pay includes base of $8.75hr plus tip out from bartenders.

Moving and setting up bar order and products to prepare for bar business level. Set up cups, glasses, stock beer, wine, juices. Provides items from storage as needed and additional ice during events as needed. Set up tables and equipment for nightclub as needed. Ensuring delivery of exceptional guest service experience prior to and during VooDoo events. Acting as role model to other employees and always presenting oneself as a credit to Harrah's.

Must be able to interact with people. Good communication skills. Mobility and dexterity to move large, heavy objects. Ability to read and speak English clearly. Must be able to stand for long periods of time and lift 50 to 75 pounds continuously. Ability to work independently. Previous hotel or houseman experience preferred.

Licensing and Certification Required :

Employees may be required to obtain a Missouri Gaming Commission license. The initial license is paid for by the employee through payroll deduction. All subsequent renewals for the license are paid by Harrah’s North Kansas City.
