Job Description
Apply Job Type Part-time Description The Spokane Club is looking for Banquet Servers/Setters who are passionate about hospitality, have the love for service and are driven to genuinely make things better for everyone. As Banquet Servers/Setters, this position will play an important role in the daily operations of the banquet facilities and other areas of the Food and Beverage Department. This position will provide prompt, courteous and exceptional food and beverage service to banquet guests during banquet, catering and meeting events. Ensure the highest quality of product and service standards while maximizing guest satisfaction and overall operational goals. What you will be doing as a Setter
  • Primary role is to Set or Pre-set tables in banquet room as assigned.
  • Basic math skills and problem solving abilities
  • Previous banquet experience a plus Physical Demands
  • Be incredibly friendly, customer centric, and love to smile. Accommodating attitude while interacting with customers.
  • Clears table after service. Removes trays of dirty dishes, silverware and glassware to kitchen for cleaning.
  • Performs pre and post-shift side work including set up condiments, stock service station, makes coffee, etc.
  • Serves menu items to guests in a prompt and courteous manner and according to the banquet event order; times the service of courses to correspond with the dining pace of the guests.
  • The employee frequently is required to reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; talk or hear
  • Observe guests to fulfill any additional requests.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions. Ability to effectively present information in a one-on-one and small group situations to members and other employees of the organization.
  • Valid Washington State Food & Beverage Permit and Class 12 or Class 13 Servers Permit
  • Complete physical set-up and/or breakdown, cleaning and clearing of banquet or catering function rooms, to include tables, chairs, props, centerpieces, audio visual equipment and platforms/stages according to banquet event order. Stores all banquet items, furniture and equipment.
  • The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and push or move up to 50 pounds
  • Serve meals to patrons according to established rules of etiquette.
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor or management Compensation $15.74 -$15.74 Includes participation in the tip pool Benefits Full-time employees and, optionally for additional cost, their families are able to enroll for coverage by medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance. Full-time employees will also accrue vacation based on hours work to a maximum of ten days per year and six paid holidays throughout the calendar year.   • Responds quickly to guest requests in a friendly manner. Follows up to ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Maintains cleanliness of banquet rooms, banquet hallways, storage, and service areas.
  • Refresh rooms at break; remove dirty cups/glasses, cleans trash cans, replenishes water pitchers, replaces table cloths, etc.
