POSITION SUMMARY
Set up, serve and clean up special event food functions in a professional manner according to the Gant's standards.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Work as a team member according to what is needed at any given time.
- Maintain station assigned including food and/or beverage service, special requests, etc.
- Do side-work as needed.
- Comply with all Gant policies, procedures and safety regulations.
- Maintain an attitude of professional friendliness and act as a representative of The Gant to the public.
- Prop buffet tables appropriately if needed.
- Attend all meetings required.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Meet all established service standards.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Ability to carry oval trays with ten covers.
- Food knowledge
- Ability to work well with others and function well under high stress situations.
- Ability to work flexible hours and days.
- TIPS Certified or ability to obtain certification
- Ability to follow written and oral directions and work as a team member
- Minimum one year server experience.
WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Must be able use hands to handle or feel and reach with hands and arms
- Considerable person to person contact with clients, homeowners, and guests.
- Mobility through the Back of House, kitchen, restaurant and conference space (indoor/outdoor).
- Must be able to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
- Regularly exposed to wet or slippery conditions; Safety shoes should be worn
- Must be able to walk, stand, and navigate kitchen, conference center, and in close proximity to others
- Must be able to lift and/or move 50 pounds
- May deliver food & beverage poolside or outside, and may experience adverse conditions with exposure to outdoor elements or a combination of both indoors and outdoors and may be required to walk on slippery and uneven surfaces.
- Heavy lifting may be required when moving furniture for events.
- High levels of stress may be present when dealing with demanding clients and long hours on your feet.
- Regularly exposed to heat

STATUS: Non-Exempt, Full-time or Part-Time Seasonal or Temp / On-call
SALARY RANGE: $22.00 - $24.00 per hour
