What You'll Do

• Enforce adherence to quality in coding standards, design, and development methods
• Help deliver the Headless Commerce project, a rewrite of our bag and checkout APIs following headless principles and REST best practices.
• Accountable for the productivity of the team members and responsible for the optimum utilization of the team members and other resources by means of effective planning and mentoring
• Resolve technical issues and raise concerns to the leadership team as necessary
• Understand the technical goals or performance requirements to provide appropriate solutions
• Provide input in implementing POC, or technical tool evaluation for the next generation of architecture.
• Responsible for customer communication and project delivery
• Plan, coordinated, and supervised activities related to the design, development, and implementation of applications development
• Define project scope, goals, and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with the leadership team
• Explain the technical specifications to the team members at a granular level and help them identify the complex test cases

What You Know

• Deep understanding & experience in Java, design concepts, patterns, and coding standards
• Java-Micro Services – Java 8/9, Spring Boot, some messaging background.
• Embody passion for new technology and open source and a believer in continuous improvement of skills
• Good communicator and team player
• Exposure to Front end web development with technologies like JavaScript
• The required skill set is Java/Spring Boot/Micro Services/NoSQL/CI-CD, and a very good understanding of modern, standards-compliant REST APIs.
• Back End Development including Relational Database Management Systems
• 8+ years of Java/J2EE development experience
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Experienced in GIT, SVN, or other distributed version control system
• Experience and ability to lead the team by providing design and technical guidance and proactively any remove blockers to help them progress efficiently.
• Proficient experience with SOA, Rest Services and Spring, Spring Batch, Spring boot
• Independent thinker who can identify problems and provide creative solutions

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Computer Applications, or a related field
