As key role for the growing marketing team, the Product Marketing Manager is responsible for owning, designing, articulating, executing, and measuring the messaging, communications, and go-to-market plans for all Novolyze products and product releases for new and existing features. Novolyze has launched a new category of software platform revolutionizing food safety and quality for the food and beverage industry. Like Apple with the smartphone, Keurig with single-serving coffee, Microsoft with Xbox Live, or Under Armour with T-shirts, this new product category is projected to grow from a nascent seed of an innovative product idea into strong user adoption, exponential revenue growth and perhaps even disrupt an entire industry. Novolyze is ready for a strong Product Marketing Manager to rationalize technical product capability with market need to convey compelling messaging and positioning accelerating commercial success. The role requires direct interaction with customers, and an excellent grasp of our target personas, competition, and market opportunities. The Product Marketing Manager helps shape how the product is represented to grow our customer base.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Conduct market and competitive research to help refine our product strategy.
  • Craft compelling messages across marketing channels (landing pages, ad campaigns, etc.)
  • Develop launch plans for new products including key messaging, marketing collateral, web pages, pitch decks and more.
  • Work cross-functionally with marketing, product, and sales teams to execute plans and ensure clear effective product-related communications.
  • Work with the product and marketing teams to define goals and metrics for product launch.
  • Create product marketing materials that meet our prospects and customers where they are at in their journey.
  • Own and nurture a deep understanding of how our prospects and customers evaluate and use Novolyze products and services.
  • Translate technical details into benefits for the user.

The position is to be filled in our offices in Bethesda, with 2 days/week of remote work after validation of the manager.

Preferred experience

  • Ability to manage and prioritize workload to focus on activities that deliver the greatest value to the organization.
  • Strong writing and presentation skills.
  • Technical mindset - You are excited to get into the product and understand how it works
  • Bachelor’s degree with a science background, ideally food engineering
  • Up to date with the latest B2B product marketing best practices and trends
  • Comfortable working with data and numbers, making sense of metrics and using Excel.
  • Product development/new product introduction experience utilizing stage-gate processes to manage technology or product maturation required.
  • Ability to translate market and internal data into actionable insights.
  • Proven experience in executing successful product and feature launches that engage, educate, and motivate.
  • Proven track record of leading through influence, working across organizational boundaries, and working within a matrix organization.
  • Team player with excellent people and management skills to work and interact with cross-functional groups within and outside the company.
  • Experience working in global, multicultural organization preferred.
  • 3-5 years of B2B SaaS product marketing experience, ideally within a company selling enterprise software or other technical solutions.
