Job Description

Position summary

The role will oversee and coordinate all activities for new and existing customers technology stacks on AWS. The position requires technical background in AWS and Cloud-based systems sufficient to work with technologists under their purview productively.

Position responsibilities

  • Work with end users to automate and create solutions within the AWS framework that can be managed by direct user groups
  • Works closely with clients to architect, develop, design, implement and manage AWS solutions for the end user use cases
  • Provide technical direction to maintain AWS Cloud Infrastructure in Optimal Configuration from both technical and budgetary perspectives
  • Prepare and present architectural guidelines and presentations for clients
  • Provide technical expertise to the team and assist with escalation support and incident management processes involving AWS Infrastructure or related issues
  • Define and implement standard processes, methodologies, and tools
  • Promote the personal and career development of team members
  • Engage in regular cadences with Leadership to discuss successes, challenges, and progress against objectives
  • Ensuring excellent customer support and overall experience
  • Must work independently while owning and leading projects while communicating updates, outcomes and objectives.
  • Communication of best practices with the ability to shape scope of work to ensure successful results
  • Creative problem solver that can work independently to deliver results
  • Provide technical and leadership vetting for talent acquisition to expand teams
  • Communicate confidently at both the leadership and project team level and collaborate with a wide range of technical and non-technical teams, regardless of geographical or organizational boundaries.
  • Work with other customer-facing teams to analyze customer feedback and requests to ensure that customer needs are accurately communicated to the team with a focus delivering a great customer experience by deploying AWS solutions, driving innovation, and delivering successful programs.
  • Understand, implement, and improve Agile methodologies to deliver products
  • Drive efficiencies and operation improvements across the partner management function and be an active voice for change and improvement to the partner core teams
  • Ability to make decisions on a variety of factors and understanding of maintaining a balance between end user needs and business objectives
  • Provide planning and architecture design plans for leadership’s long-range goals and objectives

Essential skills and experience

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Advanced-level knowledge in networking and routing to include transit-vpc implementations
  • Proficient at multi-tasking and proactive in work responsibilities
  • Superior attention to detail and able to understand abstract/complex thoughts and ideas " thinking -outside the box"
  • Solid understanding of Linux and Windows operating systems with advanced-level knowledge in networking and routing to include transit-vpc implementations
  • Bachelors or Masters degree in information technology or computer science or equivalent experience
  • Able to anticipate the needs of Customer before receiving tasks
  • Minimum of 2 Associate Level Certifications in AWS and knowledge of code tools such as CloudFormation
  • 7 + years of experience in and customer-facing positions as a professional services leader.
  • Proficient in AWS CloudWatch and other monitoring services
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-intensity, Agile Scrum teamwork environment and exhibit flexibility as innovation is implemented.
  • Advanced cloud troubleshooting skills and willingness to work on a customer site as needed
  • 5+ years of experience with public sector contracting procedures, standards and specifications
  • Experience with GitLab CI, or other AWS services such as Lambda and Step Functions
