Automotive Service Manager needed for family owned new car dealership in the Lunenburg, MA area. This is a great opportunity for a Service Manager that leads by examples, is a true mentor to their team, and brings a positive and consistent attitude to work each day. The department is in good condition and there is further room for growth. The successful candidate is a highly organized and process driven Service Manager that sees the big picture and doesn't get lost in the details. This is with a growing import dealership and reputable organization. This is with a dealer group that really cares about CSI and providing a great service experience to their customers in order to ensure customer retention and maintain their positive reputation in the market. Thus, it is important that the Service Manager hired has great CSI while also promoting a goal oriented work environment for their team. Must understand numbers and KPIs to drive profit and properly manage the department. Lastly, must be a good person with a proven track record and be looking for a long-term opportunity.

Responsibilities :
- Ensure the department has green CSI through building and maintaining relationships with customers and ensuring that they receive high-quality service.
- Set a clear vision for the Service Department to achieve targeted performance goals.
- Monitor/control all warranty activity to ensure compliance with policies and procedures
- Develop and manage budgets and operating plans for the service department, monitoring performance and making adjustments as needed.
- Oversee the Service Advisors and ensure that ROs are written up and closed out in a timely manner.
- Provide training to service technicians to help them improve their skills and knowledge.
- Hold daily and weekly meetings for the department, as well as 1:1s with individual team members.
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the service department
- Other duties as required
- Create an exceptional customer experience to drive customer loyalty
- Maintain a high level of knowledge about the latest automotive technologies and stay current on industry trends.
- Collaborate with other departments within the dealership to ensure seamless and efficient operations.
- Ensure the Service area is customer-customer ready with proper displays and information
- Recruit, interview and train service staff; handle performance reviews
- Create and implement processes to increase efficiency, customer satisfaction, and profitability in the service department.
- Manage and supervise the service technicians, ensuring that all work is performed to the highest standards and within established timelines.
- Compensation range will likely be in the $120,000 - $140,000+ range to start depending on experience, performance, and track record. Earnings are expected to increase as the department grows.
