We are a single-source contract manufacturing and packaging company, delivering innovative engineering solutions from our strategically located network of manufacturing facilities.

Position Overview:

As an Automation Engineer, you will play a vital role in designing, developing, implementing, and maintaining automation systems to optimize our manufacturing and packaging operations. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, engineering, and quality assurance, to identify opportunities for automation and develop innovative solutions to improve productivity, reduce costs, and enhance product quality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support and training to operations, ensuring proper use and maintenance of automation systems.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including sales, engineering, and operations, to identify and resolve technical challenges and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Continuously research and stay up-to-date on emerging technologies and industry best practices to enhance our automation solutions.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and meeting project objectives.
  • Work effectively on the factory floor, ensuring smooth communication with operations and demonstrating an understanding of high volume, discrete manufacturing environments.
  • Design, develop, and implement advanced automation systems for our clients, focusing on PLC programming (Allen Bradley, Siemens, and other relevant platforms) and SCADA platforms (e.g. Ignition).

Qualifications:

  • No college degree required, but relevant certifications and experience in automation engineering are essential.
  • Proven track record in implementing and integrating vision systems, robotics, and instrumentation.
  • Extensive experience with PLC programming, specifically Allen Bradley, Siemens, and other relevant platforms.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with fluency in English.
  • Solid understanding of high volume, discrete manufacturing processes, preferably in the food and beverage industry.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, curiosity, and the ability to learn quickly and adapt to new technologies.
